The energy I am referring to is our day-by-day supply that keeps us going. There are many theories that good diet, exercise, and rest are the keys to our daily supply of energy. I am offering an additional view on how we can create a more energetic life.

The theory is that Soul-Personality Integration is the key to your supply of energy. Soul-Personality Integration is walking arm in arm with your Soul down life's highway. For most of us our Personality wants to travel down one road seeking relationships or work and finding trials and triumphs. Our Soul has a plan for us this lifetime and wants to assist the personality in finding the Soul's Mission. For most of us our Personality is trotting down one highway not paying attention to our Soul traveling on a different path. So how can you start bringing your Soul and Personality into alignment?

A litmus test for the integration is how energetic you feel. David Spangler, in his book Revelation, the birth of a new Age describes the law of love and truth. This energetic law says that loving ourselves is essential to creating energy. The love I am describing here is Universal Love – the presence that has always been here and always will be here. There is no place that this love does not exist. Many years ago in a Science of Mind class I was asked to consider myself not like a raisin in a bun but like a drop of water in the mighty ocean. The challenge for many of us is to accept that we deserve this unconditional love and love ourselves knowing we are an expression of the whole. Truth allows us to recognize what is right for the moment without judgment. So the first step of integration is learning to love ourselves living our truths not our illusions.

Another litmus test for integration and energy is how much chaos is in our life. Chaos drains our energy. Carl Jung states that what we suppress shows up outside of us as chaos or conflict. There are many others who describe this phenomenon. I am sure most of us have encountered those bumps in the road of life. Relationships provide a wonderful mirror to reflect to us that which we are suppressing. It is much easier for us to blame or judge someone else than to admit that we have that same prejudice within. Years ago I felt everyone was judging me in some way as not being good enough. It was not until much later in life that I realized that my own low self-esteem was holding me back – not what I perceived others thought of me. My teacher/mentor Linda Brady asked a very poignant question. What does other people's behavior reflect back to me about me and how can I alter my behavior based on what I do not like in others? When we are suppressing things, projecting, and living in illusions we are creating chaos and are not integrated with our Soul, draining our energy.

Another litmus test is how many 2 x 4's we encounter (more than just chaos). These are the big challenges. The challenges that feel like they are knocking our feet out from under us … things like the death of a child, an affair in a marriage, a major illness, or an automobile accident. Many of us feel good things happen to other people, not us and there is nothing we can do about it. The Energetic Law of Karma says that the energy we put out comes back to us so we start feeling we need to blame ourselves when these “bad” things happen. This changed for when I learned to allow my personality to experience the emotion of the event – the mad, sad, guilt, or shame. That part was easy I had done it for years. The difference was when I learned to also automatically flip a switch to my Soul Level and ask why is this event in front of me today – why is it in my life? By asking that question you can open the door for serendipity to walk in. Years ago I was facing a major betrayal in my life – an unfaithful partner. I felt all of the anger, not deserving it, the betrayal, and the shame. Then with my teacher's help I asked my Soul why that was in my face. What I found out was that I did not trust myself, did not trust my own intuition, so my Soul helped create a situation to mirror that to me in a big way so I would get it. If we continue to ignore our Soul's call the 2x4's will show up to mirror what we need to learn about ourselves draining our energy in the process.

So how does one begin creating a closer walk with their Soul? By following some of the tenets from Linda Brady's Aquarian Poster:

• Love and Honor yourself so you can love and honor others
• Become self-empowered by taking personal responsibility what happens in your life.
• Know that your Soul creates your life perfectly ALL THE TIME.

It has certainly turned my life around. I applied Linda Brady's Aquarian tenets and David Spangler's Energetic Laws. I also learned about the karma I brought into this lifetime and have been working to clear the unconscious guilt and fears. I also learned about my Soul Mission. I decided that it is time for me to integrate my Soul and Personality. The bottom line is that since I have changed my life to begin integrating my Soul and Personality my energy has increased exponentially. My life is the proof that Soul-Personality Integration is a big key to energy.
