THE NORTH NODE JOURNEY TO YOUR SOUL MISSION

The North Node represents the valuable key towards understanding your soul mission. It provides meaning as part of a continual discovery of your life's journey. Learning about the North Node in the signs lends access to the numerous ways you can experience more joy, happiness and inner harmony. In order to determine your soul potential take a look at the North Node and South Node chart in Linda Brady's book: “Discovering Your Soul Mission; How To Use Karmic Astrology To Create The Life You Want,” (Chapter 4, pgs. 75-77). What do the nodal positions mean?

Learning about your South Node is an equally important reference point as the South Node is symbolic of your past; it is a combination of many incarnations. Below is a chart highlighting the Nodal Points:

There are derivatives of past life experiences, attitudes, thoughts and energies that have led you to the current life. For instance, do you fall back on the familiar when challenges appear in your life? Have you seen someone that you just know you have met before? Do cosmic 2x4's hit you again and again with the same life lessons? Therefore, according to Martin Schulman, “the potentially weakest spot in any horoscope is the South Node for it represents the footsteps we have left behind us,” (“Karmic Astrology,” p. 23).

The Sun illuminates the eccentric and intellectual air sign of Aquarius from January 21 — February 19, 2003. Aquarius has arrived for its New Age future! Those with a North Node in Aquarius will experience a unique soul journey, one that encompasses the holistic model of body, mind and spirit.

The Aquarian symbol is the Water Bearer, which represents the wellspring of energy flowing out of life. Colored with iridescent blues, Aquarius naturally plugs into the ideals of altruism, freedom, astrology, airplanes, inventions, and reform. Aquarius is an independent thinker whose mind travels beyond time and space. Being the humanitarian, Aquarius will volunteer at a moment's notice to help another. Facilitating a political cause or a charity to improve the global community is what Aquarius does best. As a benign observer of life, Aquarius' visions are far reaching.

Secondly, Aquarius is unconventional in its opinions, and merely offers a shrug to those who do not share the same visions. Although others may label Aquarius as rebellious, Aquarius has no qualms about creating electricity. With Aquarius there is a perceived dichotomy, one of friendliness and the other of obstinacy. However, when the majority asserts opposition to the Aquarian ideas, Aquarius will say we can agree to disagree. Therefore, the Aquarian's mission is to flow upstream, and alone if necessary, without the mass that recedes down stream.

Thirdly, an eclectic example of Aquarius is the father of modern day astrology and Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Gustav Jung. Light-years head of his time, Jung was born in 1875; yet, he “represents a bridge between the nineteenth century and the twenty-first century. He witnessed the first stages of the programs which sent man into space — and he had views on the psychological meaning of such a quest,” (“The World of C. G. Jung,” p. 5). This Aquarian thinker discovered the principle of synchronicity, those events which could not possibly have occurred by chance. Carl Jung therefore, is the embodiment of Aquarius. Concerned with the advancement of the human condition, he was a pioneer who integrated a scientific style while researching the gifts of the soul.
Finally, or shall I say infinitely speaking, those with a North Node journey to Aquarius are devoted to the quest for universal truth, equality, diversity and cooperation. As “The Spiritual Individualistic” it is your personal and social responsibility to help others rise, promote holistic living, and remain open-minded in the learning process. Integrating a progressive outlook will assist your spiritual and intellectual growth. You will experience a more numinous life as you discover the path beyond the ordinary existence. North Node Aquarians are the New Age Olympians who pass the torch onto the next generation of thinkers.
