THE NORTH NODE JOURNEY TO YOUR SOUL MISSION

The North Node represents the valuable key towards understanding your soul mission. It provides meaning as part of a continual discovery of your life's journey. Learning about the North Node in the signs lends access to the numerous ways you can experience more joy, happiness and inner harmony. In order to determine your soul potential take a look at the North Node and South Node chart in Linda Brady's book: “Discovering Your Soul Mission; How To Use Karmic Astrology To Create The Life You Want,” (Chapter 4, pgs. 75-77). What do the nodal positions mean?

Learning about your South Node is an equally important reference point as the South Node is symbolic of your past; it is a combination of many incarnations. Below is a chart highlighting the Nodal Points:

There are derivatives of past life experiences, attitudes, thoughts and energies that have led you to the current life. For instance, do you fall back on the familiar when challenges appear in your life? Have you seen someone that you just know you have met before? Do cosmic 2x4's hit you again and again with the same life lessons? Therefore, according to Martin Schulman, “the potentially weakest spot in any horoscope is the South Node for it represents the footsteps we have left behind us,” (“Karmic Astrology,” p. 23).

The Sun enters the independent fiery sign of Aries from March 20 – April 19, 2003. Aries, ruled by the planet Mars, represents war, action, personal risks, energy, red, anger, physical strength, individuality, character, and self-identity. It represents you! In a time when global awareness is at the forefront, Aries will take charge and lead a national cause to the front lines of its own battle. Aries understands the infamous phrase: “There is nothing to fear except fear itself!” Thus, Aries asserts onward, with courage and might. The ram lowers its head and blindly charges through its path.

A “me first” attitude is prevalent with Aries. As Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, it embellishes the courage to take risks. Aries is straightforward, adventurous, and impulsive. Risk taking may involve an emphasis on personal appearance, motorcycle riding, assaults on another's territory, or using daring colors while painting. Risk defines, shapes, and molds the development of the Aries. Self-discovery or self-identification takes on many shades of expression.

Secondly, the Arian nature is quick-witted, and restless with a legendary disregard for danger. Symbols of war, armor, male things, action, arousal, might, forefront of anything, and overall health are clearly symbiotic with Aries. Picture the Native American warrior aggressing into battle; his face painted boldly with fresh blood, head feathered with adornments, and voice loud enough to echo the message of competition, physical strength and free will. Do you see and hear the presence of Aries? If not, Aries will demand it of you.

Those with North Node in Aries can speak in a native tongue that brings life to the horizon. As “The Spiritual Warrior,” Aries will surpass all limits. With a fiercely competitive will, Aries becomes the Michael Jordan of life. With leaps of great speed into unguarded territory, Aries is the advertisement for the Nike slogan: “Just Do It.” Standing alone and confident, Aries awaits the next conquest. He is the individualist who makes his head rule his heart. Every thought becomes a seed for a new beginning. Aries is the eternal Spring….
