North Node In
Taurus
THE NORTH NODE JOURNEY TO YOUR SOUL MISSION
By Linda Lee Adams
The North Node represents the valuable key towards understanding your soul
mission. It provides meaning as part of a continual discovery of your life’s
journey. Learning about the north node in the signs lends access to the numerous
ways you can experience more joy, happiness and inner harmony. In order to
determine your soul potential take a look at the North Node and South Node chart
in Linda Brady’s book: “Discovering Your Soul Mission; How To Use Karmic
Astrology To Create The Life You Want”, (chapter 4, pgs. 75-77). What do the
nodal positions mean?
Learning about your south node is an equally important reference point as the
south node is symbolic of your past; it is a combination of many incarnations.
Below is a chart highlighting the Nodal Points:
| South Node |
North Node |
| Aries |
Libra |
| Taurus |
Scorpio |
| Gemini |
Sagittarius |
| Cancer |
Capricorn |
| Leo |
Aquarius |
| Virgo |

There are derivatives of past life experiences, attitudes, thoughts and
energies that have led you to the current life. For instance, do you fall back
on the familiar when challenges appear in your life? Have you seen someone that
you just know you have met before? Do cosmic 2x4’s hit you again and again with
the same life lessons? Therefore, according to Martin Schulman, “the potentially
weakest spot in any horoscope is the south node for it represents the footsteps
we have left behind us,” (“Karmic Astrology”, p. 23).
The Sun shines upon the sensual sign of Taurus from April 20 – May 20, 2003. The
planet Venus rules Taurus, and provides a stable, luxurious, warm-hearted
landscape. As the strong oak tree grows into a fixed part of rich soil, Taurus
resonates with the permanency of the earth. As Taurus meanders along, it is a
time for solidifying life.
The mythical lore of Taurus involves the white bull that courted Europa; yet
Zeus was the white bull in disguise. As the god changed back into his normal
form, he then placed the bull in the heavens. Thus we have the trusted placement
of Taurus the bull. Its strong powers of endurance transcend the changing scenes
of history.
Although Taurus may lack flexibility and originality, their sense of values,
appreciation of the arts, and love of fine wine and gourmet food provide the
world with a reliable taste of the good life. Those kindred spirits with a North
node in Taurus make excellent chefs and their waistlines may prove it. Taureans
also have a keen business sense with the ability to make profits. Throwing
extravagant dinner parties is a favorite indulgence for Taurus while also
entertaining friends. The steadfast bull knows that the richness of flavor lies
deep within the fruit, and an abundant garden they will cultivate.
A second step in the Taurean’s path is the feeling of security that it demands
from career, home and marriage. The bull does not like to be called “greedy”,
however it honors the creature comforts of life in order to build its
foundation. With determination and mindfulness Taurus makes a loyal partner who
respects the needs of his mate; however, there may be intermittent sparks of
jealousy as the bull is a possessive creature.
Anything that shakes the tranquility of Taurus is a threat to its security. It
will use the senses of smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing to gain its inner
calm and balance. Taurus also creates a beautiful connection between the
material world and the spiritual world. It naturally blends the ambience of the
earth with the stars in the heaven.
Therefore, as the “Spiritual Gardener,” north node in Taurus exemplifies the
self-worth of the soul. With patience and practicality, Taurus builds a stable
earthly home, whereby serenity, peace and love reside. It gathers all the
contentment that the universe offers him. Taurus is destined to live among the
blessings of the blue spirit waters, which quenches the thirst of its lush green
garden.
“All of you is worth something, if you will
only own it.”
