THE NORTH NODE JOURNEY TO YOUR SOUL MISSION
By Linda Lee Adams
The North Node represents the valuable key towards understanding
your soul mission. It provides meaning as part of a continual discovery of your
life’s journey. Learning about the North Node in the signs lends access to the
numerous ways you can experience more joy, happiness and inner harmony. In order
to determine your soul potential take a look at the North Node and South Node
chart in Linda Brady’s book: “Discovering Your Soul Mission; How To Use Karmic
Astrology To Create The Life You Want,” (Chapter 4, pgs. 75-77). What do the
nodal positions mean?
Learning about your South Node is an equally important reference point as the
South Node is symbolic of your past; it is a combination of many incarnations.
Below is a chart highlighting the Nodal Points:

There are derivatives of past life experiences, attitudes,
thoughts and energies that have led you to the current life. For instance, do
you fall back on the familiar when challenges appear in your life? Have you seen
someone that you just know you have met before? Do cosmic 2x4’s hit you again
and again with the same life lessons? Therefore, according to Martin Schulman,
“the potentially weakest spot in any horoscope is the South Node for it
represents the footsteps we have left behind us,” (“Karmic Astrology,” p. 23).
Welcome Sun! Enter the euphoric world of Pisces, the effervescent water sign,
from February 18 – March 20, 2003. Although the Age of Pisces has been a major
presence for the past 2000 years, those with a North Node in Pisces accept the
invitation to flow with the New Age. Easily acclimated to the changing tides,
Pisces has an amazing, intriguing and beguiling spirit. With the planet Neptune
as its ruler, Pisces is only an illusion away from the world of enchantment.
Ever hear of Cinderella? Snow White?
Firstly, the Pisces symbol is two fish swimming in opposite directions connected
by a cord. They surf the wave of emotions with crests of compassion and troughs
of receptivity. Some may mistake the illusions created by this mystical sea
creature for secretive deceptions as it sacrifices material wealth for spiritual
visions. The Piscean intuition is keenly evolved with sensitivities to other
worlds. Looking through a kaleidoscope, you will see Pisces serving a warm meal
to a homeless mother, counseling a drug-addicted teen, praying on the beach, or
reciting a poem with iambic pentameter at the Café Montage. Pisces understands
loneliness, addictions, escapism, God, and creativity.
Secondly, as the twelfth Sign of the Zodiac Pisces also is the final Sign of the
Zodiac, bringing together many of the characteristics of the preceding eleven
Signs. Usually, Pisces conceals these qualities only to call upon them for their
inner spiritual journey, or when they feel the undertow of life. Herein lies a
treasure of inner resources. The silent expedition of the Piscean soul beacons
the shadow of man. Remember, still waters run deep...
Thirdly, Pisces is the sign of spiritual transcendence. Therefore it partners
with the dream state quite eloquently. Pisces understands the soul voyages of
the night journey. As interpreter, Pisces can unveil codes and messages of the
dream world. It chooses to parlay the meaning of the dream as a manifestation of
the unconscious. If onlookers are a bit confused about Pisces, it’s a testimony
that Pisces cannot be understood through logic or analysis.
North Node in Pisces is “The Spiritual Companion,” devoted to healing the pain
of self and others. Upon the heels of forgiveness, Pisces will break bread with
the enemy, (knowing he too is suffering). The Piscean mantra is: “I believe
there is goodness in everyone.” With a spring of imagination, empathy and
compassion bloom within the Piscean heart. Gifted in expressing their feelings,
Pisceans are the artists, poets, and musicians of the world. As the Muse or the
Prophet, Pisces will paint a mural for love with the colors of life.
“Of scenes of Nature,
fields and mountains,
Of Skies so beauteous
after a storm, and at
Night the moon so
unearthly bright,
…I dream, I dream,
I dream.”
Walt Whitman
