Is True?

Capra in "The Turning Point" points out that: "The conception of the universe as an interconnected web of relations is one of the major themes that recur throughout modern physics. The other theme is the realization that the cosmic web is intrinsically dynamic. This is the result of Einstein's relativity theory. The cosmic web is the planets, stars and everything we see in the material universe. Conversely, at the subatomic level atoms consist of..."particles, and these particles are not made of any material stuff. When we observe them we never see any substance: what we observe are dynamic patterns continually changing into one another." It is only at the macroscopic level that this particles appear solid and staid. Thus from both ends, physics is telling us all that exist is electromagnetic energy - even material objects at the macroscopic level are non-substantive at the atom level.

Now, it is clear that the ultimate reality is energy. The planets and stars are dynamically interacting with each other and us. Astrology is the recorded, accumulated systematized collection of the human race's thoughts about the stars and the heavens. Over thousands of years we have instilled meanings in the signs and the planets and their aspects (astronomical data). These meanings have become standardized to such a degree that they are now archetypes. Carl Jung coined the term archetype to describe non-physical traits or responses (that is ideas, attitudes and preferences) that are unconsciously transmitted from generation to generation across all racial and ethnic boundaries. So we all respond to astrology on an unconscious level whether we realize it or not.

Astrology has been observing and recording the universe interacting with us, and us with it, for 10,000 years. When astrology is understood and utilized as a method of describing our connection to all creation and our own creative center it's full validity can be realized. Unfortunately, many people only deal with or are exposed to the insufficient, mundane, predictive use of astrology. "Astrology is best understood as a man's first and most complete language of the form, structure and rhythm of functional wholes." (Dane Rudhyar, astrologer).

So here we are again at the energy level of reality and energy is a wave form that is spread out over a large region of space. Whereas, the smallest concept of matter, a particle, is an entity confined to a very small volume. Let's take an electron as an example. Capra explains: "an electron is neither a particle or a wave, but may show particle-like aspects in some situations and wave-like aspects in others. While it acts like a particle, it is capable of developing its wave nature at the expense of its particle nature, and vice versa, thus undergoing continual transformation from particle to wave and from wave to particle. This means that neither the electron or any other atomic object has any intrinsic properties independent of its environment, "The Turning Point." The implication of this is that at the macroscopic level where matter seems solid and steady what really is going on is that objects are created, dissolved and recreated over and over, moment to moment at the atomic level. This is probably the basis of what we call electromagnetic energy and implies pulsations of energy traveling over large regions of space.

If one would find a clock shop with many clocks run by pendulums (like grandfather clocks) you would find that they all are in the same arc of swing. You can just image the old clockmaker going from clock to clock trying to start each successive pendulum in sync with the last and the last and the last. Sounds impossible, doesn't it? It is! But, they are all in perfect observable synchronization with each other. That is because all of the clocks, even ones yards away, eventually adjust their arc spontaneously to every other clock in the room. I guess that the planets and we are doing the same thing only on a much larger scale.
