The New Testament of the bible recorded the Age of Pisces from the birth of Christ to the “end of days”. The last chapter, Revelations, prophesized the end of days which, I believe, means the end of the Age of Pisces. In REVELATIONS (4:6-8) it is also written that:” and round about the throne were four beasts full of eyes before and behind….the first beast was a lion; second beast a calf; third beast had a face as a man and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle….. And they rest not day and night saying holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was and is and is to come.”

I also believe that these verses predicted the Age to come, The Age of Aquarius! The sacred beasts that glorified the eternal God are the earthly representatives of the Fixed Cross which includes the sign of Aquarius. The lion (Leo), calf (Taurus), the eagle (Scorpio) merging with man (Aquarius).

I believe the grand cross that is in the heavens today is the Aquarian holistic ‘cross’ leading us into the next phase of the Age of Aquarius. This fixed cross of 2005-2006 gives us an opportunity to understand how Aquarius is affected and manifested through its relationships with its fixed brethren; Taurus, Leo and Scorpio, the beasts of Revelation.

The Fixed Cross is a dynamic, complex relationship between 4 planets in the fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, in specific, mathematical relationships to each other. It requires that these planets create two distinct types of aspects: 2 oppositions and 4 squares.

An opposition occurs when two or more planets are in opposite parts of the zodiac. It is measured at approximately 180 degrees which is one half of a circle. This aspect occurs when two signs oppose, creating a tug of war that promotes a need for cooperation and balance to find integration Opposing signs may be seen as two sides of the same coin that need to be understood as complementary.

A square occurs when two or more planets are measured at approximately 90 degrees, which is a quarter of a circle. A square creates a powerful tension, a literal “square off” against each other. The intense frustration and obstacles push us to resolve the tension and create opportunities for growth.

Therefore the Fixed Cross is an opportunity to integrate two oppositions and resolve four sets of squares between Mars in Taurus, Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Leo, and Neptune in Aquarius. Fixed signs stabilize our earthly seasons by providing a focus for each season to manifest its fullest potential. For example, Aries creates spring in March, but it takes Taurus in May to manifest the full beauty of the season. Fixed signs are determined and focused, stable and penetrating. They are the completers of the zodiac. Each, in its own way, will serve to concretize powerful ideals to create the new foundations necessary for living the Aquarian life.

Mars in Taurus: takes action on issues concerning self esteem, self worth, financial security and creativity. Its physical energy is stimulated through earthly challenges, building solid foundations that lead to the integration of spiritual and material values.

Jupiter in Scorpio: expands a philosophical belief that transformation occurs through the understanding of the depths of our emotional being. Internal power and self control are manifested through a connection to our internal spiritual teacher.

Saturn in Leo: takes responsibility to courageously and generously open its heart center to express love and inspiration to others. Respectful self leadership and dramatic self expression will provide a powerful role model in the world.

Neptune in Aquarius: merges with the Universe by communicating humanitarian and universal concepts to establish a balance and integrated world order. It represents and manifests the holistic triangle of mind, body and spirit by being rational, innovative and free of old, ineffective Piscean beliefs.

The journey to integrating the fixed cross begins with integrating the oppositions between Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius and Mars in Taurus and Jupiter in Scorpio. (Of course to be more precise these planets need to be placed in an individual’s astrological chart to determine specific house issues).

Example: Leo rules the heart; Aquarius rules the circulation of the blood through the arteries. Leo is the reigning leader, Aquarius is the common man. Leo is the one, Aquarius is the many. Leo is fire and exemplifies the ideals of courage, enthusiasm and connection, Aquarius is air and is associated with the rationality of mind, observing and conceptualizing.

One Resolution Adding Saturn and Neptune: Aquarian leadership resolves the opposition by incorporating the best of Leo and Aquarius. We are responsible to be courageous and inspired to serve humankind by being innovative and generous, enthusiastic and reflective and open hearted to connect with all souls.

The journey continues by resolving the conflicts between the squares between Mars in Taurus squaring Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius and Jupiter in Scorpio squaring Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius.

Example: Taurus rules self value and self worth, Aquarius looks to the welfare of the group. Taurus needs to have earthy roots to feel secure; Aquarius needs to pursue intellectual horizons. Taurus needs practical goals to pursue and finish, Aquarius wants total freedom to explore new horizons. Taurus is patient, Aquarius is revolutionary. Taurus loves conventional comfort, Aquarius loves innovation and newness.

One Resolution Adding Mars and Neptune: The conflict between Taurus and Aquarius can be resolved by finding opportunities to bring them together. Taurus can provide the boundaries necessary to take care of itself as it finds practical, financial ways to help the groups that need help. Aquarius wants to manifest the holistic triangle of mind, body and spirit and can be aided by Taurus’s desire to integrate spiritual and material values. Together they honor the earth and the spirit of man.

The more we explore the ideals of the Fixed Cross, the more we understand how to live a life filled with balance, and harmony. It is truly a powerful key to unlocking the Aquarian truths so necessary in leading an inspired, purposeful life. It is the time to become our fullest potential selves in pursuit of our soul’s mission in this powerful Age of Aquarius. It is oursacred trust and we are up to the task.
